Love the Thai pizza! Have gotten it multiple times, it's a little spicy. Great food, pricing a tad high with delivery hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

I haven't had their pizza, but I had their hot sausage sandwich last night. The sandwich was actually a loose meat grinder, the sausage was bland, and there was no cheese on it, though it was listed with cheese on the menu. In my opinion, a hot sausage sandwich should start with a patty cooked to order, rather than loose grinder meat that's been in a warming pan for who knows how long.

Ordered the stuffed meatballs and they did not disappoint! Delicious. We also ordered 4 different specialty pizzas and all were good. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Next time we're in Des Moines we will be back!

Had their Italian sausage sub sandwich from their lunch menu and it was huge...I think a foot long. I definitely got my money's worth and they came with a bag of BBQ chips. The men also working there were friendly and helpful with the menu. When I couldn't finish my sandwich, they wrapped it up for me to take it to go.

Amazing. I always say I will go back and try another menu item sometime, here we have! None has disappointed. But what made me write this review is that they are busy! But the waiting staff takes time with each table, their detail is great, always smiling! And i know they are tired and hot. Fun place for my kids, portions are huge!

Mamas masterpiece pizza was delicious!!! I liked the fact that the table and seats are painted with chalkboard paint and there is chalk on each table. Good customer service.
I spent quite a bit of time last night looking for a good pizza to pick up while downtown Des Moines to take to our hotel room. We decided on Mama Mia's and called in our order @4:45 pm. We ordered their evening special: $9.99 one-topping 16" pizza. We were told the pizza wouldn't be made until they opened at 5 pm. and he told us to come at 5:15 pm to get our pizza. Great, we went to the hotel and my husband went back out to get the pizza which was just down the road. Our sausage pizza was burnt (black) on the edges and dry. Didn't look very appetizing and it tasted like cardboard. I found great reviews for this pizza place online but we won't be getting take-out again. These hungry Texas visitors say, "No bueno" to Mama Mia's!

Unfortunately, tonight they were out of pizza dough. However, this meant we got to try the sausage sandwich. It was awesome! The sausage is homemade and you can tell. The fried meatball are absolutely one of the best things I have had as an appetizer. They are huge and stuffed with cheese. Get these for sure!

Just finished eating at Mama Mia's and WOW! We had fried meatballs (4) which are the size of your fist and a Mamas masterpiece. We are from out of state and we would most definitely be regulars if we lived here. Service was perfect also. Thank you all for a special experience at your restaurant.

I have to say I have extreme mixed reviews about this restaurant. My family went for dinner and had an amazing experience. The food was incredible and the service top notch. I called and ordered lunch today and was told 20 minutes but it took 45. The counter clerk said the manager was not there yet. They are only open 11-2. She rolled in just before noon, set her purse and phone down and then started to serve slices without washing her hands. Very disappointed
