We are in town to see family. We did a quick Google search and decided we would stop in the get a coffee. It's a really quaint spot with friendly staff. There wasn't much of a wait at all, the decor was beautiful, amd the best part was that the coffee is amazing. They have the best vanilla white mocha I have ever had! I would totally stop in and give them your money if youre a local!

Quaint little coffee shop. I had an iced blackberry white chocolate latte (excellent). A hidden gem on the Southside of Des moines. Prices are decent. Great customer service.

Was looking for a better coffee place to support -rather than a corporation that funds unethically internationally, or a local place that treats their employees horribly.
I love that Mayalu is local, delicious, and invested in the community. Feels good to spend my treat money here ☕️ 🥮.

They have a drive thru, we walked in. Lovely local coffee shop. Delicious Mocha, friendly staff, great vibe. If I have a local option across the street from a huge chain coffee co, I choose to support local ! This one is great.

Just brewed up a cup of joy at Mayalu Coffee in Des Moines! We're from Boulder, CO, and usually, I'm not one to spill the beans, but this place is a game-changer! Top-shelf coffee and service that warmed my heart. 5 stars isn't enough - I'd give it a whole cup! Cheers!!

I was driving cross country and was looking for my morning chai… what a pleasant surprise! Deep was so kind and welcoming. I travel ALOT, have been to India and also work with high end chefs. The chai and the chicken curry pastry made by his wife did not disappoint. I don’t know if you offer chutney or tamarind, but that might be nice to go with it. If I had more time, I would’ve dined in and had the momos. Everyone should have momos at least once in their life :-) I recommend to all, and if I’m ever back in the area, I will DEFINITELY return.

I absolutely love this place! The staff are always warm and welcoming. The drinks and food are perfectly spiced and delicious. The energy is warm and inviting.
