I should start by saying I take great pride in Midwest tenderloin vendors. They have a niche market that the rest of our country hasn't caught onto yet. Sad for those of us that have moved. Anyway, as a result, I have a discerning tenderloin pallet - not too greasy or "bready" and thin. Nick's has set a new bar for the DSM area. Excellent tenderloins! Perfect balance of flavor and meat AND they offer a dozen different "types". I'm a basic kind of guy but I love their enthusiasm. Give them a try!

The wife and I went here for lunch. We both had the Queen tenderloin (which was plenty - the wife took some home). I had the cheese curds on the side and she had fries. The tenderloins were big and juice with a good flavor. Although, it tasted like the oil used was maybe a little old. The cheese curds had a good flavor and paired well with the side of ranch (mid-westerner). The fries were hot but maybe slightly underdone. I'm being very picky. We would go back and try it again.

Friendly staff, really great food, good prices, clean, accommodating, nice atmosphere, would recommend. We had wings, pork tenderloin bacon and swiss sandwich, chili, fries, and onion rings. A lot of food for the money.

Let me start out by saying that the Tenderloin was wonderful. However there were some things that I didn't really care for. The first is it felt kind of like we were intruding on a courtship. There was a lot of distracted "girl I'm gonna sing you this song" going on and it detracted from our eating experience. Second were the bathrooms. Now all through my wife and my dating time I had an ability to find restaurants with really good food and terrible bathrooms. this went right along with the theme. The floor had about 1/2 inch of water on it and the paper towels were not properly stocked. I'm not going to put it past the possibility that there was a short lived issue that they have already fixed but had the employees been paying more attention to that sort of thing than each other my experience would have been much better. So long story short. Call in your order and get it to go. You won't be disappointed in the quality of the food.

Very good food, My family commented positively when it arrived. Fast and friendly service.I had the King tenderloin (massive) It was tender and juicy and the best I can remember having. We also ordered some poppers these were not poured from a bag and pack some heat, very nice!
While we were wondering if we should stay after being told they were out of almost everything, we stayed and tried some basics. The grilled cheese was about halfway melted, but the onion rings were great. Call ahead and make sure the food truck has made it for the day before you go.
