Very good tacos ?. Flavor was great, a little greasy, especially the kito tacos because of how they are made. The green chili sauce was fantastic.

Birrila pizza was 2 inches thick filled with only 4 pounds of cheese and 4 pounds of essentially bland pot roast. Tacos were the same. Hard to get through. Ramen was ok til we found 2 pounds of cheese stuck to the bottom. Unnecessary. Overall everything was roast,cheese,bland. disappointed

We love Nina's Tacos, we've been here several times and will continue to come back! The owner and staff are wonderful, and the food is delicious and plentiful. I especially love the sauces and the quesabirria. With a diverse menu and a clean, vibrant dining room this is a great place to stop for a lunch or dinner.

Nina's Tacos is the bees knees.We tried the "Pizzadilla" this delicious meal is packed with juicy meat and lots of cheese. Best I've had in a long time. You can pick what kind of meet you want in your pizzadilla asada, pork or birria, we went with birria and believe me, you will not be dissapointed.Make sure you get yourself a fresh cup of horchata water.

First time coming here in my life for lunch today 5/22/22.Ordered the birria tacos among some of their other best sellers and a tamarind soda which came in at just around $30 with a tip.First impressions of the restaurant was it was very well kept, clean and felt very homey, they were playing some Spanish music over the speaker system which was nice! Customer service was great ! I asked as a first timer what their best sellers were and was helped out with some choices and made my order shortly after. The wait was about 5 minuets which was fast but the quality of the tacos was amazing ! Now they claim to have the best Burria tacos in Iowa and I can attest to the fact that they can hold that claim because I haven't tried a better one so far and they were top notch !Among the other things I bought they were all on par with the freshness of the ingredients, the sauces and flavors.Overall a great first time experience and I'll for sure be coming back when I need a taco fix !Great place for authentic Mexican fare (:

Today was me and my son's first time going to Nina's and when I tell you the Pastore asada tacos changed my life!!!!....? they didn't even make it home! And don't get me started on the monster Pizzadilla...simply perfection! All I can say is I HIGHLY recommend Nina's.

The first thing is parking. Not much! Next is the entrance door is all finger and hand-printed.Once inside, tables weren't wiped clean from other diners. Nor was it offered when I sat down after ordering! Not even when I received my water! Bench chairs need re-upholstered and the wood backs are sticky.Enough about cleanliness...I order 2 Quesa tacos which came with a bowl of beef broth, a small container of thick green sauce, and some fresh lime chunks.When I received my order, the tacos were super shiny and greasy-looking. When I opened it to see what was in them, it was a little more than 2 tablespoons of shredded beef, cheese, and a little cilantro. Not too bad for $4.16ea. Considering inflation at this time. Broth was delicious!Cheap, thin napkins are a problem! You'll need plenty! I have to say that they tasted ok, once you get by the grease!I may give them another shot, just because I'd like a Fatboy burrito! Other than that, probably won't go back to dine in! I hope the kitchen isn't as bad, but you know what they say! And who knows about the bathrooms...2 stars are the best I give here!Sorry! Only pics I took!
Had a hard time finding good authentic Mexican food in Des Moines until I found this place! AMAZING food. I had the ketogenic tacos and I was shocked. Add a little lime and they're 10/10. I might even like them more than regular tacos. Seriously good food.

AH.MAZING! We saw Birria tacos on You Tube from Simply Mama Cooks. My husband was on a mission to find them here. These have to be the BEST tacos I have ever had anywhere. The consomme they serve with them is just.....I think I could drink it and be happy. You need to check this place out!
