The first time I went I didn’t care for the food. Decided maybe I just ordered something I didn’t care for. Went again and got the fried chicken. Tasted very off. It is obviously par cooked and felt like was probably done a week in advance. Flavor not good and texture of chicken highly off as well. The bacon bean soup was ok, but lacked any depth. The service both times was lacking. I have heard a few compare it to Latin King. Not even in the same stratosphere those two. Have now had 5-6 different things with 2 being okay (soup and onion rings) with the rest being very subpar (fried chicken, chicken livers and gizzards and ch parm).

One of my favorite local places to go to for a nice dinner. Lobster is huge and decently priced compared to most places, shrimp cooked to perfection and always nice and friendly service-sometimes a bit of a wait depending on the time you go but sooo well worth it!

How is this place not better known???The salmon de burgo is AMAZING. Our server Grace was funny and just the right amount of attentive. We will be back for sure.

We've been here a number of times, the food has always been great. It's a great, locally-owned restaurant. Awesome atmosphere. They can get busy, but the wait is always fairly short. World recommend this place to anyone!
I had the Hot Roast Beef. It was very very good & the drink I had was excellent. Don't remember the name, but it was RED w/cherries

So welcoming when you arrive. Staff are top notch. Waitresses remember you and are genuinely happy that you're there. They take the time to talk with the child guests as well as the adults.Food is great. Well prepared and presented. Priced right and well portioned.Steaks, Spaghetti, Cheesy Garlic Bread. Onion Rings, Fried Chicken Livers & Gizzards...salads, seafood...full bar.This is IOWA NICE!

Now or Later is truly an eastside gem! And the eastside doesn't have many! Every dish that I have tried since I started eating at this establishment 3 years ago, has been delicious! And the prices are not out of this world!
