My girlfriend and I placed a pickup order and were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. We arrived a few minutes after that timeframe, expecting the food to be ready to go. Unfortunately, when we got there, they hadnât even started preparing our order.
We ended up waiting about 30 minutes before receiving part of the order, and even then it wasnât correct â our pasta was missing. We were told it would be another 20 minutes for the pasta. At that point, since we had already paid and invested so much time, we decided to stay and wait it out.
In total, we were there for just over an hour for a pickup order that was placed 20 minutes in advance. By the time we finally got home, the wings were cold because of the extended wait.
To be fair, the food itself was solid. However, the pickup experience was extremely frustrating â especially considering the restaurant didnât appear to be busy at the time. Based on this experience, I wouldnât recommend ordering takeout. If you decide to try this place, Iâd suggest dining in instead and being prepared for potential delays.

The food is really good. There are a few things to workout as far as the waist staff being more service oriented. The server disappeared on us for a long time.My food was also served cold which is a big no for a restaurant. but overall it's a good spot with good food. All the dishes were delicious. I especially enjoyed the jerk chicken , jollof rice and plantains.

I tried Palms for the first time today and I already canât wait to go back! The oxtail and grits were hands-down my favorite, but honestly everything we ordered was amazing. We also had a few drinks and they were so goodâeverything tasted incredibly fresh.
The owner and staff were beyond friendly and made us feel so welcomed from the moment we walked in. The music and atmosphere were on point, and the entire experience was just top-tier. Palms was such a vibeâI canât recommend it enough!

Everything was wonderful. We had the taco and jerk chicken plate. The mocktail was great, the chicken was so flavorful. The coconut candied yams were so good with the chilly weather. Highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be back.
You know the food is good when you start dancing. I ordered the Braised Oxtail with rice and peas with a side of plantains and candied yams with a Pain Killer as my drink. When I tell you it took everything in me not to get up and dance MULTIPLE times, I MEAN it. The meat was cooked to perfection, a medley in my mouth, perfectly spiced - I almost cried. As a Boricua myself, I know a thing or two about plantains and my GAWD they were good. Oh my days I could go on and on. The portion sizes??? Beyond. Welll worth the money. And they play such good music yall đ© What really blew me away was my server! She was so kind and attentive without hounding over me. She had a nice rhythm going, I felt so well taken care of. Bright smile and did I say so kind?? I feel like I was in a song called Palms DSM. HIGHLY recommend. When you go, ask for Bintu, shes a SAINT!!
