Papa Kerns has always been a special comfortable place. And, our family, whether we are eating alone or together have always heavily tipped. A minimum of $10-$20 per plate- each visit. Even tipping the elementary school student who was wiping tables her own $10 (last visit).Unfortunately, the same last visit, a bottle of Heinz 57 sauce was accidentally gathered up with the boxes and personal items. Most likely while trying to help make sure the table was easy to clean up, for the little girl to wipe. Admittance and apologies were made the following visit.Sadly, then. During the meal. In front of other customers (who were listening). An invoice was presented with verbal commentary about the bottle of 57 sauce. And that there was a $6. charge for the condiment. From the previous visit. This was embarrassing. The food was not 1/2 finished. The comfort is gone. The food was paid for and left.It is sad that our economy places a business into such a position. No business should have to fret over the cost of a condiment, when the customer is eating steak.

Order eggs and coffee after 30 minutes no eggs and didn’t get a refill of coffee. Today the service was the worst I’ve seen
Tried this little small business for brunch this morning and we were very impressed. I highly recommend the farmers eggs with a little hot sauce, I added mushroom and jalapeno and they didn't even add any cost to my meal for it. Our waitress was handling a room full of customers with grace and efficiency. Coffee was good, the biscuits and gravy my husband ordered was good. We were shocked at how economical our little date out was at the end. We can't wait to go back!

We took our child out to get breakfast on St. Patrick's Day. They forgot all about us and our order was really late. They did nothing to Make it right. And the food sucked and it was overpriced. We're not being edible so stop we are not going back for sure.
