The Park Avenue Pub has been around forever, well known on the Southside of Des Moines and largely remains unchanged. Still operating under normal pub hours and participating in local pool league tournaments. If you’re looking for fancy, this is not your place. If you’re looking for an old school simple watering hole and place to grab a bite, this is it. Great place to have a drink and socialize with a few friends and the staff are all really nice, food is amazing there, chicken strips that are perfect and many other choices. Just wish it was a little bigger.
Looking for a dive? Look no farther than your corner Park Avenue Pub. Some of my best memories with friends have been made here. Don't go with any expectations and you won't be disappointed.
