We visited for the 1st time this past weekend, and absolutely love the concept and everything about it. We had a great time, but can't help but to think its sorta like a daycare except with dogs and the parents can hang and drink all day. I noticed alot of stressed out dogs from being away from their humans and the very loud music from the dj. It kind of put a damper on my mood after awhile, cause it was the same couple dogs crying, barking and pacing the fence where their humans were on the other side of, and for a great deal of time.

Want to start off by saying we love coming to Paws and Pints but won’t be attending their foam parties any more - our dog landed up at the Emergency Vet!
We took our dog to the foam party at Paws and Pints yesterday, thinking it would be a fun, safe event. Instead, it turned into a nightmare. Shortly after being in the foam, our dog couldn’t open his eyes. We rushed him to the emergency vet, where he was diagnosed with a chemical burn to his eyes caused by the foam.
I strongly suggest P&P looks into possible adding an area with a hose to be able to rinse dogs off after they have been in the foam as not all dogs like running through the splash pad. Dog safety has to come first.
Based on what our dog’s eyes look like (horrifying) I strongly recommend skipping any foam-related events.

I have never been a dog bar before so I went with my daughter this past weekend. Everything was so amazing for her dog. They have multiple areas inside and out for dogs along with a little swimming pool and plenty of tennis balls. We will definitely go back.

We hosted a group event in the Bark Park (small dog park) and it turned out fantastic!! The waitress who was in charge of our event was very patient, attentive and friendly! Setting up the event was very seamless as well. I appreciate the quick email responses and everyone was so friendly and easy to talk to.
Thanks again Paws and Pints! We are happy to be members of such a great place!

What a cool place. I was in town for my wife surgery and wanted to let our dog hangout with other puppers instead of in her kennel at home for 8 hours. My wife set everything up woth them ahead of time, just had to have our Shelby do her personality evaluation. I showed up, they had her reservation and took her back for the eval and then asked me a handful of questions. In about 5 mins, we got the all good, our girl is great just a bit timid(yup we know 😂) and she was off for her day of adventure and making friends. When I came to pick her up, the staff said she was the most precious little thing and did amazing. Within 3 mins she was there ready to rock and roll. We will definitely use them for boarding if we fly out of dsm in the future.

By far, the BEST Dog Bar / Dog Park that I have been to in the COUNTRY! And I have been to Many! I plan my travels across country based off of towns with dog bars, and then hopefully stay at local businesses that offer Harvest Host for our RV. Our Stop in Des Moines has by far been the best. We even skipped another town and stayed so we could go to Paws & Pints another night. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, especially (Kaylee?) The atmosphere is the absolute best place to have my dogs play and enjoy a drink. I can't wait to plan another trip to Des Moines and I live in Charlotte.

What a gem! We stopped here for a quick lunch with our dog while on a family road trip. Good food! The chicken tacos and pulled pork were favorites. Good vibe place to take a break with your pup. Thank you Gabby for taking care of us! Thank you David for getting us a great spot on the patio!

Didn't get in. Had my recods with me on a Sunday. Gal at front desk didn't see distemper and got turned away. My pup is a rescue dog and seen by our vet regularly. All vaccines were up to date, I assured her. Still turned us away. Very disappointed in first attempt to take new friend there.
Can't speak to any other experience since I was turned away.

First time at the facility and was very impressed, everything was clean and modern. The staff were super helpful and informative. The girl at the front desk was extremely patient as she helped set up an account for my dog. (Make sure you have proof that your dogs are up to date on everything and that you have your ID if you’re over 18.) There were plenty of seats to relax while the dogs played with each other and enjoyed all the water features.
