Got two of their $7 breakfast deals. Good price, decent food. Orange juice was terrible, though. Edit: problem with the orange juice is it tasted like watered-down from-concentrate juice. Almost flavorless.

ordered to go. forgot half of what we ordered. had to get a refund instead of the food we originally paid for. missing mozzarella sticks, fruit, and a drink + getting the sandwich completely wrong. tried calling and sat through 3 whole rings with no answer.

My son ordered biscuits with chicken and gravey, half through found a hair. Was told theyd take it off our bill. Didnt. Still charged us full price.

Understaffed and the orders came out wrong but they fixed it. This place has gone down hill over the years. Needs a remodel.

I would like to thank the manager at the Merle Hay branch for giving my mother and I breakfast on him due to the food not being up to snuff. The staff had to make due because the food truck didn't come in time. Our server has been very kind and accomodating for the times we've eaten there. Thank you for that! I do wish Perkins corporate office would come to evaluate the look and cleanliness of the restaurant. It's beginning to look a bit shabby but overall a thanks you to the staff there for trying to please us.

The lady at the hostess stand didn't seem to care that I walked in but the gentleman behind the counter was great.

Food was okay for what I ordered (breakfast-eggs, bacon, pancakes).

Atmosphere was not very good. It stunk like a urinal where I was seated and it didn't have a very "warm" feeling being in there. I may not ever visit the restaurant again due to this.

Bathroom were okay and clean.

My friend ordered French toast and I ordered steak and eggs. Good stuff. I was a little sad about the size of the steak. My meal was nearly $20 so for that price it could have been bigger. Also, the steak was a little overcooked. Other than my steak drama, the food and service was great.

We dined at the Perkins on Merle Hay Rd. In Des Moines, IA. Our server was Landon and it was his first day. He did a wonderful job and was very attentive.

Kid-friendliness: We dined with an 8 year old and a baby. Landon was excellent with both of them.
