Had to call the police on the manager for pocketing our money.

My husband and I walked in to place an order and paid with a $50 bill. The manager gave us back change and we waited for our chicken in the dining area. After 20 minutes of waiting for our food, and watching 11 food delivery drivers come in and get food and leave, my husband went to the front desk to ask about the status of our food. The cashier personnel said they “didn’t have our order” and that “they lost our order” my husband handed over our receipt and asked for our money back. The worker gave us the wrong change- $5 short to be exact. We went to the car upset about no dinner and counted our change to make sure we had our full fifty dollars. We did not. We went back into the store and laid down our money before them - including the change of coins they gave us. Counting out loud the amount we had and spelling out clearly the amount we were missing. With the help of another employee, the manager found the redacted receipt and the original receipt we were given when we placed the order. You can clearly see the amount we paid with. (50.00) The manager still refused to give us our money back, called us crazy, and got very defensive repeatedly saying he didn’t make the mistake and gave us our correct change. He was visibly upset so I called the police. An officer showed up and saw our receipt and went to go in the back to speak to the manager, came back out and said it was a civil dispute and couldn’t do anything for us. We would have to sue them for $5. (Ridiculous)
I’d also like to note that while waiting for the officer, we kindly stepped aside so other customers could continue to order, and we asked an employee for the owners number and they couldn’t give it to us. Upon our own research of this location and the owner, we discovered many other websites on Google summarizing fraudulent activity. Will never go here again. I’m sad because we typically “love that chicken from Popeyes”.

This is literally the worst Popeyes I’ve been to. They take forever. The food is always cold or burnt. The staff are some of the rudest people ever, including the management. Don’t go to this place. It is horrible

Your guy on the drive-thru was great, as was kitchen staff, but having your closing team's manager itching and scratching her head with the office door wide open while she messed around on her phone is not a good luck. Check your office cameras and maybe have her close the door next time!

Haven’t seen something more inconsistent since my father. Seriously though your lobby is closed at noon. Y’all are wild.

Ordered 9 piece family meal with potatoes and bisquits. Got home, chicken looked way over cooked, almost burnt. Almost no flavor. Potatoes also flavorless. Called to discuss refund. Asked why chicken looked and tasted overdown. Was told it was due to their grease that was old and needed changing. They were changing it right then and i could drive back and get new food. I asked WHY ARE YOU COOKING AND SELLING CHICKEN FRIED IN OLD GREASE? Was told again, well we're changing it right now. Live by downtown....should gone to KFC....ugh

Initially I placed an order via DoorDash, order was cancelled because items were unavailable so here I go with a bright idea to go there myself and order chicken, I go thru drive thru and was told that they were only serving DoorDash…. 🤣🤣🤣 my sign to stay out of restaurants!

Ok used Grubhub and expect it to not be hot. That’s not the problem. The chicken if you can even call it that was thinnest whatever it was I’ve ever seen. It was more like a crusty jerky. Oh and the $5 Cole slaw….the cup had like barely a scoop. Kind of super ticked off. Never again.
