Excellent food, great location, and staff always pleasant. This is my 3rd or 4th visit here and the food always good. Meatballs excellent and lots of good wine choices.

If I could give more than five stars for the service, I would! Thomas absolutely made the night for my party. He was knowledgeable, warm, and inviting. He explained everything and made sure our time at Purveyor was an experience.

We had the arancini mozzarella and lobster croquettes, as well as the quiche lorraine, and graziano’s sausage empanadas. Everything was absolutely packed with flavor and delicious. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the atmosphere as well. We will definitely be back!

Purveyor is undoubtedly a different place but very consistent with what downtown Des Moines is with places with a European atmosphere and food.
A place for lunch or a light dinner, to enjoy tapas, casseroles, cheeses, wines and a very select selection of beers.
The very good quality of its service and products goes hand in hand with its prices.
A good place to enjoy as a couple or with a couple of good friends and enjoy Downtown Des Moines.

Basque, Spanish, North African food. Enjoyed all the courses and the wine. Server was great. Did not like that the credit card surcharge wasn't posted.

Awesome hidden gem! I came for the paella, not realizing it was only on Fridays. No worries, I had a very tasty (fancy) grilled cheese and tried some unique wines. Great service and a cool atmosphere!
