Love this gem , sits above the Royal Mile. Good food selection, diverse drink selection. Soccer bar of Des Moines for those looking to watch . Always get excellent service upstairs @ Red Monk from Colin. Ingelhoffer is a very good sandwich , and of course Fish and chips is Delicious.

The Red Monk space upstairs from The Royal Mile was rented out for an event and the staff handling the food and drink orders were very responsive and everything was great.

Loved the atmosphere. The food was good, and the beer was awesome. Will be back. Would be nice to temper the a/c a bit when it is not summer out. I get your servers get hot, but freezing out the customers is counterproductive as well. Table next to us cut their stay shirt because the were freezing and we didn't stay as long as we would have as well.

Had a good time in this Belgian themed place where I had been to attend the trivia night!The staff was friendly and accomodative to my specific food and beverage request! The trivia was good, and I didn't realise how the time went by. Great way to cap off my last day in Des Moines.

Bartender was great! Very knowledgeable and very creative. Loved the ginger drink! It was our 5 year anniversary last Saturday so my husband treated us to a night out. The Red Monk is definitely a new favorite.
