Des Moines' cutest triangle shaped bar. Best cocktails, patio, and I hear the staff is pretty awesome too! 😉

Love this cute little intimate spot! Perfect for a little date night or catching up with friends. Can’t beat the delicious cocktails and the music is always on point. The decor is very aesthetic if you like taking photos for socials. The staff there are few but they handle the busy packed nights like champs and are honestly just the most sweetest laidback people who just want you to have a great time cuz they always seem like they are as well! Couldn’t recommend more.

Cute and cozy place. Nice open air and patio in the back. Was here on a cooler day but the fresh air was nice and the drinks were tasty.

I know in the winter time they make it super seasonal and festive with nice lights. The ambiance and aesthetic of SA is always nice tho.

Busier in evenings and parking is interesting as there aren’t many spots.

Overall would definitely visit again.

Alright in light of the response let me clarify

I asked for a Coors and the bartender responded ‘No’. Okay that’s fine you don’t carry it. I asked ‘Can I get the most similar thing to a Coors’ and the bartender responded ‘No - you can get a Michelob’, gesturing to the menu. I said ‘fine I’ll take that’ just matching your energy okay? Don’t tolerate your team being disrespected? That’s cool but if I match your energy that’s not disrespect. Don’t dish it if you can’t take it. You’re not above me and your summarization of the encounter is biased & false. Smh

Squirrel's Tale
The Squirrel’s Tale is a cozy, festive cocktail that strikes the perfect balance between warmth and lightness. Crafted with smooth bourbon as the base, it’s enhanced by the aromatic depth of allspice and a hint of apple-cinnamon, creating a subtly sweet, spiced profile. Perfect for holiday gatherings, it captures the flavors of the season in a way that’s inviting without being overpowering. Each sip feels like a comforting toast to autumn evenings and winter celebrations—smooth, slightly spicy, and wonderfully nostalgic.

Our favorite drinks date-night spot in DSM! Beautiful views, amazing drinks, beautiful patio. I love places with character and SA has so much character!!! In the winter their atmosphere is so cozy and cute. I’ll have to come back to this review and add more photos of that.
