My husband and I have gone to this perfect cocktail bar since it opened shortly after we moved to the downtown DSM area. The atmosphere is friendly and lively, and they have such fun innovative and tasty drinks. Our most recent visit was during their holiday pop up “Nice List” and we very much enjoyed this fun shot served a COOKIE shot glass. As long as they’re open - considering us BIG fans!

Beverages were tasty, which is probably the most important thing. This was our first time visiting this establishment. We came in and sat down.
I really liked how the bar staff looked over at us several times, in silence while we waited like unstoppable morons to place our order…to finally discover you must order at the bar. Maybe a small table tent sign “order at the bar please “ might help first timers, just sayin.

Tonight I went to Secret Admirer because I thought Silent Book Club would be there. However, they canceled. So, I sat there and read anyways. The bartender, Steven, was freaking awesome! He definitely made everyone feel at home. I would go back to Secret Admirer again just for his bartending.
Please note I still like the place if he isn’t working. Just a serendipitous evening at an awesome bar.
