Nice place, I've been here a few times and either get a energy drink or a black coffee both are good. Environment is really good though it can get a bit loud when it's busy, but if you don't mind that it's great. Service is normally pretty good too. Overall a nice place, would recommend if your in the area.

Do not order a regular cup of coffee at the cottage grove location. This is the 3rd time I've gotten lukewarm cup of coffee.

We had such a wonderful experience at Smokey Row on Sunday night. My sister and her three kids, my daughter and I, plus my mom all stopped in, and the entire team was outstanding.

A special shout-out to Mily — she was incredibly kind and patient with the kids, talking with them, engaging them, and even walking them through how certain products are made. She truly made the experience fun and memorable for them.

Because of the service alone, you’ve absolutely gained new and future loyal customers. Thank you to the whole Smokey Row team for such a welcoming, family-friendly experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Fairly good coffee, though the lavender syrup I got in my tasted kind of powdery/chalky. Good baked items, and I am enjoying the beans i got to use myself at home.

I ordered a sausage biscuit sandwich and I hadn't even paid and I tried to change the cheese and the cashier told me it was too late that it was already in the back and they were making it

I love coming to Smokey Row to study or hang out with my friends! The place has a cozy atmosphere, great food, and delicious drinks. It’s one of my favorite spots to relax, chat, or get some work done. The staff are friendly and the vibe is always welcoming.

Stopped at Smokey Row Coffee Cafe on our way out of town. It’s a large, welcoming space with tons of drink options and plenty of seating — great for studying or hanging out. We had breakfast along with coffee and a chai tea. The food came out hot and fresh, though it’s more of a basic breakfast style (our sandwiches didn’t have any sauce). The chai is made with powder, which isn’t my favorite, but the overall experience was pleasant and the staff was friendly.

Not at all impressed with the service. My wife and I ordered 4 items and it took 20 minutes to get all of them. They were:
Biscuits and gravy-delivered 1st
Cinnamon roll -delivered 15 minutes later
Soft drink and milkshake- left on the counter until I went looking for them.
The most unexpected part of this was the seeming complete lack of interest on the part of the staff.
Won't bother coming back.

Cashier was disrespectful and could be heard talking badly about myself personally and my order. Will not be returning. Sad. Lifelong DSM resident and my whole opinion is swayed by a condescending employee.
