Snookie’s is the busiest place in Beaverdale during the summer. Cars wrap around the block for the drive-through, and there’s a crowd of people outside every night. It’s been a local favorite for nearly 40 years, and for good reason. Classic, traditional soft-serve ice cream. I tried their pumpkin ice cream the other night, and I understand now why it’s so popular. Five out of five.

The thing about Snookie’s is that I regret it every time. The wait is just way too long for a run-of-the-mill soft serve product, and the place is just run down and tired, and not nice to hang out at. They are chronically understaffed. Getting in and out is usually a hassle, with cars waiting for the drive thru clogging the entrance. Keep a close eye on little kids because it’s basically in the middle of a busy parking lot, with the main entrance cutting across the drive thru line. Good for them for being popular, but I don’t understand it.
