The hours listed here are wrong. They are closed and it’s 6pm on a saturday

Tiny bread sandwich for 14 bucks. Doesn't even come with a side. Sandwich had less than half a chicken breast. Also their menu is tiny with mainly breakfast items.

5 stars and if I could give it 10 stars, I would.I had looked this up in anticipation of my trip to Des Moines, just googling breakfast spots. The reviews were good an the photos looked good.My travelling companion and I were not disappointed! We went at 10 am on Saturday and it was busy, very hoppin. Though the front of house was seemingly very frazzled and disorganized and we were annoyed AF, as soon as we were able to sit down with food that all fell away. If you are going in mid-morning to afternoon CALL AHEAD for a reservation. We had very simple breakfasts. I had collective sourdough toast with 2 poached eggs, avocado, and bacon as well as butter and jam on the side, a mimosa, and an iced mocha.Everything was simple but they treated the ingredients with such care and realllllly let them shine. We had scheduled a different restaurant for Sunday but all we wanted was more St.Kilda! This time we did a reservation online for EARLY and were promptly seated. We both gout the sames breakfasts as Saturday, we actually had the same server and same table, and she remembered us!I'm so sad I do not live near here to go again. It was perfection. If you are in the area, run down 5th to St.Kilda (it's only a 14 minute walk from the Hilton downtown and parking few and far between anyway!)

Great place to get a breakfast in downtown Des Moines! Would recommend - quick and casual ambience. Felt like it was priced a little steep for what you get, but enjoyed the various options and especially the Australian coffee!

My friend and I enjoyed a delicious, refreshing and hot late morning coffee and treat at St. Kildas on Saturday morning durning our walk around downtown. We were happy the weather allowed us to eat on the patio. COVID times.

I've been waiting to visit St. Kilda after reading about it in Midwest Living. My toddler and I blew into the store on a very cold midwestern afternoon about 15 minutes before closing. I was hoping it could at least snag a coffee and take in the decor for a moment. Tyler was working and immediately made us feel comfortable. He assured us that it was no trouble for him if we stayed and enjoyed some drinks or food. He suggested a delicious smoothie and brought it out to us with the excess in a special little cup for my daughter. What service! We sampled a muffin and grabbed a steaming cup of coffee on the way out. Gem of a spot.

Went last week with my parents and husband. I ordered the avocado toast, which was amazing! I've been craving it all week! Can't wait to go back! The staff was your usual, not enough seating for a busy brunch, and had to wait for refills, but it was busy. Can't remember the name of our waitress, but a brunette with straight long hair was helpful to decide what to order. Food was the best part!

I ordered oatmeal. Surprisingly, it came in the form of a muffin full of fruit & nuts, topped with apricot with a smear of cranberry on my plate. Added milk. It was the best! Coffee was great too.

One of my favorite brunch places in town. The single origin coffee is especially good. It's a regular place for me.

Plane got delayed and went here for a late breakfast from a recommendation and it did not disappoint. I had breakfast tacos that were awesome and I would order them again. I had a hard time ordering from the menu as all looked really good. I will be back

The breakfast tacos were amazing! I was expecting small tacos but they were of good size and filling.

Good food, pretty good service. The food took a minute or two longer to be prepared than I expected, but it was good and tasted fresh.

Menu is pretty hipster. Good location.

I don't eat beautiful breakfasts nearly often enough. Thanks, St. Kilda, for reminding me that eggs, avocado and bacon (with some ripe tomatoes on the side) are just the way to get the day going. Oh yeah, and the fresh squeezed OJ sure didn't hurt. Beautiful cafe in downtown DSM. Hip but not "I'm too cool to offer warm and friendly service" hip. Free wifi. Good coffee drinks and beer/wine for when you're ready to take a break from the laptop work. Absolutely no complaints. Just right.
