Very kind and generous we came in asking if they could remake an order that we had ordered from another location (because the other location accepted an order while closed) normally they couldn't do that due to it being different owners but kindly said that they could make our order for half of what we already paid instead of having to pay for an entire order again.
I'll go out of my way to visit this Subway. It's rare that I have issues with my food.

Couldn't understand anyone, no english.
Barely able to understand their accents and apparently they couldn't understand mine either. Terrible communication. Nothing but crumbs for vegetables in their bins and the tomatoes had the solid cores in them. When I asked for different tomatoes, they added more lettuce (which were crumbs). This location has been around for a long time and has recently taken a hard nosedive into trash status. Never again.

Went to university subway Des Moines iowa at around noon on 9/17 for 7 subs, ft long and 2 dozen cookies and drinks for 7.
PERSON at counter refused to accept coupons that we receive in mail each week.
Only last week we used the current coupons from that week and we're accepted with no trouble. Guy today says "I don't have to accept coupons" which is correct I guess.
They lost the sale and any future sales to us.

Staff is extremely rude, slow, doesn't work well between drive up and walk in customer's. If you want to drive up avoid this place like the plague.

There thieves. Do not go to this subway. They refused to make sandwiches that were ordered and paid threw by the mobile app. There response wasn't to help refund us when they decided to close early. There response was to tell us to call corporate if we wanted our money back. they're lazy horrible people who steal from there customers. I will never go to this subway again may never even go to a subway ever again. Never have I been treated like absolute garbage by someone let alone a business also I've never had a business so blantly lie, steal,rip me off and not seem to care at all.whatever dumb excuse they come up with to explain themselves to corporate or on here isn't enuf. They stole money treated customers like garbage and were hostile to people for no other reason then they wanted to take people money and not provide any kind of service for it. They should b ashamed of themselves and should be put out of business. These are the kind of people who should not have the right to to do business and represent the people of Iowa and the east side as a community. they give everyone a bad name just by being allowed to continue there lies thievery and hostile attitudes in our community.

Great service and wonderful food.
Instead of helping me with my order the man behind the glass walked up and said "Hey I will help you in a minute, I want to put this bread away real quick" and I waited until a different employee finally helped several minutes later. At this point I had been waiting for close to 7-10 minutes already for someone to say hello, due to a larger order right ahead of me.
I asked for one of my subs to be a "Chicken Bacon and Ranch" - the guy asked me what that was when it was literally right behind him on the menu. I was also charged incorrectly, being charged for extra added bacon on a chicken sub?
Also, I live nearby and get mail ads with Subway coupons. Thought I'd use one and was told "We don't accept coupons ever" ....ok? Why am I on a mailing list?
I also cannot fathom that my bill was $30 for TWO subs and drinks. What??? I wont be returning to this location as other nearby locations have always had great service and better atmospheres.
