Sunflower Chef did an amazing job catering lunch for my mom’s 90th birthday party. We had a lot of family coming from out of state, so it was wonderful to be able to provide a stress free meal for everyone. The variety of soups, salad and sandwich options was perfect, nourishing and delicious. Julie accommodated our dietary restrictions, and there were options for everyone. People raved about the salad and pomegranate dressing!

Sunflower Chef catering prepared a great meal for our wedding. On time, provided a scrumptious meal and the staff was very kind. We will use them again. We are very grateful for their services.

Sunflower Chef Catering did the cupcakes for my daughter's recent wedding. Now I usually do not like cupcakes at weddings. They are usually dry and tasteless. The ones Julie and her team made were phenomenal! The taste, the presentation, the moistness were beyond words. I was asked numerous times during the reception who made them and where they could get them. I will be ordering from Sunflower Chef again and would highly recommend them to any of my friends.

We got married 11-3-24, and in January after a struggle of finding a caterer that checked our boxes, we were fortunate to find Julie who not only checked but exceeded them. Pretty much arriving at the tasting we scheduled sold us. She is incredibly professional, kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. No small detail was ignored - above and beyond what we could have asked for.

After booking, we kept in touch regularly as I provided updates about guests, confirmed selections, updated any miscellaneous things, ect. I was pleased and somewhat surprised that she reached out so many times, just to make sure we were good to go! She was and is flexible to help customize what you're wanting to ensure the right amount for the amount of people.

Come the wedding day, her and her wonderful staff arrived right in time, and seamlessly set up everything as planned, and just as seamlessly cleaned up, washed up, and left. She ensured everyone got plenty of food, and everything was topped up before departing.

In terms of food - every single thing we had was (and is) beyond delicious. Very high quality, chef based dishes, that taste excellent. We of course didn't get every thing she offers, but i have zero doubt there is a dish she has that is not delicious and well prepared. So many people commented on how wonderful the food/catering was. We wanted to ensure we had a high quality catering experience for not only us, but our guests, and again, Julie and everyone exceeded all of that. We could not be more pleased and are so thankful for her and working with her.

I cannot recommend Sunflower Chef enough - whatever you need catering for - if you care about getting well made, well presented, and incredible dishes for your guests, contact her!

Working with Sunflower Chef Catering was outstanding. We had so many compliments about our food, especially the pork loin. She listened to all of the things we wanted and adjusted anything we wanted from the tasting and it was perfect day of. She made sure we as bride and groom had everything that we needed throughout the night. At the end extras were packed up for us. It was so seamless on such a crazy day!

We worked with Julie to cater an event we hosted at the Middlebrook Mercantile. Julie was so responsive and easy to work with. She had excellent recommendations of what to serve for the evening. Her staff was professional and attentive the entire evening. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We will definitely use Sunflower Catering again.

We loved working with Julie and her team at Sunflower Chef Catering for Iowa CCI Action’s summer meeting on 8/10/24! The food was great, the service was excellent, and the price was right. Everything was superb!

Had a couple bumps at the beginning regarding communication, however, Julie and her team did a wonderful job with my wedding. We got lots of great feedback from our guests regarding the food and how well it tasted. The service was great and the staff was very friendly! Staff came and checked on my husband and I throughout the meal and offered fresh plates if we wanted, which was very nice, as I know many other catering companies do not do that.

Sunflower Chef Catering did a fantastic job catering our daughter's wedding. We loved that they could provide everything...appetizers, the main course and dessert! The cupcakes were the most delicious I have ever had!
