Taquería Leal is a very solid spot and one of the best taquerias in Des Moines. It is the best truck around, offering the best tacos of Iowa with an awesome flavor. The food is beyond delicious and packed with flavor, made just right every time. Everything is fresh and made to order, with perfectly crispy meat that does not seem like it has been in warmers. The burritos are just as impressive, hearty and super satisfying. The price is great compared to other taco spots that do not even compete on the same taste level. Customers highly recommend the asada or the pastor, both full of bold, authentic flavor and cooked perfectly. Every Friday, birria tacos are $1.50-$2.00 with cheese. Tacos also come with jalapeño, cucumber, and radish. Make sure to ask for the avocado salsa. The people working here are genuinely kind and welcoming, with always polite and speedy service.
