Review for Tasty Tacos – SE 14th St, Des Moines I’ve been a loyal customer of Tasty Tacos for many years and have always enjoyed their food. However, I recently had a serious incident at the SE 14th Street location that needs to be addressed. I took my parents, who are vegetarian and Hindu, and ordered bean tacos for them. Unfortunately, the tacos were served with beef instead of beans, which was a significant mistake given their dietary and religious restrictions. While the staff did apologize and correct the order, this caused my family considerable distress. My mother, who has never eaten meat, was extremely upset and felt unwell afterward. In addition to this, I tried to reach out to customer service to discuss the issue privately, but I found no available contact number or email on their website. It’s 2025, and it’s surprising that there’s no easy way to file a complaint or get a response directly from the company. I even asked in person if they could take my contact details to follow up, but was told they don’t handle it that way. I’m sharing this review not to harm the business, but to highlight a serious need for better customer service and communication. I hope Tasty Tacos will improve how they handle customer concerns and provide a clear way for customers to reach out directly when issues arise. I believe in supporting local businesses, and I hope this feedback will help them make positive changes.

Tasty Tacos are my favorite! It is a must have when we get to the Des Moines area. There is nothing like them in Montana where I am from and I have driven 1368 miles one way just to have Tasty Tacos. The store location you choose to stop isn't too important because the flavors, portions and customer service are consistent. You can dine in or take it to go. My favorites are the flour taco and flour nacho with queso.

Been going for years. Always get the original flour. Their 12oz salsa is a 1.75! Don't get duped at the grocery store. Queso Blanco was thicker than I prefer. Guess better than runny.

Went with hubs as it was his favorite place to go when he lived in the area. I had the chili and corn chips. Having been there long ago, I had forgotten how icky the ground meat tastes. It's like they add corn meal as filler to it. Chips were on par w other fast taco joints. Hubs said his four shell taco wasn't as good as he remembered.

The best way to sit down and have great 🌮 and enchiladas. The best always.
Very solid!!! Tacos actually overflowing with meat and toppings?!?! So use to other restaurants giving me half filled tacos, this place gave very generous portions and was really good. Hot sauce is a must.
