We have been here a few times and definitely one of our favorite for some special occasion drinks. We came this time to check out the Halloween decor and it was a great stop for our predinner cocktails. One thing I would suggest is some sort of gluten free or dairy free option on the menu for us food allergy peeps!
Overall its ok. I wouldn't come back though. The ahi was OK, not the best or worst I've had and the salmon was again OK but the risotto was TOO al dente, needed more broth and stirring time to absorb the broth and it was too salty. There is a nice view of the city and service was again OK but not worth the price of almost $100 for 1 person with 1 appetizer, 2 glasses of wine, and 1 entree. The best atmosphere in des moines. Beautiful rooftop bar. I normally stray away from hotel bars but this one is worth the visit. Food was good. Service was a little slow but that surly won't be a universal experience.
