Every where I read claimed this was a good place for a romantic dinner. It wasn't. Great place to hang with friends, maybe, but not romantic. When we walked in, we were told rudely we had to be done by a certain time. Of course the time limit is in the "What to know before you go" section of Open Table, but the way we were told is what irritated me. Then when we were seated, waitress was no where in sight. We were about to get up and leave and she appears. We gave her our order. When I looked at clock it was 10 min after we sat. So I wondered if we'd get that extra 10 min added to the time we were told. Lol. Spinach artichoke dip was amazing but portion was seemed small. When our entrees arrived, mine was small as well. I had the chicken and spinach risotto. My wife had the Cajun salmon which was a better portion. Both were delicious. It just happened while we were there, the ones across from us ordered the spinach artichoke dip as well and their portion was twice the size that we received. 😡 Through out the night, we had to chase down our waitress even for the most basic things such as water refills. If it wasn't for the rest of the staff, service rating would be lower. Amazing selection of martinis. Liked all the ones we drank. Not sure why when I made the reservation it was asked if it was a special occasion (which it was) since it wasn't acknowledged. Make sure to ask for a receipt before paying. Our waitress, when she showed up at the end, told me the total price. I paid for it. When I got the receipt after the fact, there was a "service fee", which there was no explanation anywhere of what it was for, but I needed to leave and it wasn't that large, so I left it as is. It was loud. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. But I wouldn't go again unless it was just to drink and not necessarily celebrate an important event.

We love coming to Stuffed Olive before a Show at the Civic Center. The food is always great and the service is always outstanding. We can't wait for our next Show at the Civic Center. But we may go even without a show.

A party of five of us visited on 1/8/25. We asked for a table in back as there was live music by the bar and we wanted to be able to talk together Our server was excellent - wish I had gotten her name Food was amazing - we got brussel sprouts, sliders, French fries w Parmesan, stuffed mushrooms, and spinach artichoke dip All came out timely and very good! We had martinis and all were very delicious and also came out quick I’ve been here about six times before and it’s always great Good patio area too Definitely a great place!

This whole place is worthy of 5 stars. Everything from their pages of martini options to the appetizers to the servers. Very professional, welcoming, and accommodating! I’ve never had a bad order here. I’ve visited over 15 times in the last year!

It had been awhile since last eating at The Stuffed Olive. The old location was much smaller, but the noise level was manageable. We always enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere was sort European. Tonight, the noise level was too high. It was like being in any other sports bar. We had reserved a table but were seated by the entrance and had to live with blasts of cold air. Anyway, too bad but for now it'll be the Court Avenue Brewery or some other downtown eatery.
I've been twice and both times have been very good experiences. Excellent food and cocktails! Unique share able items but not too different that you don't know what you're ordering! This could be on my top 5 in DSM!
