One of the best Italian restaurants in the area. For years they have been serving delicious Italian meals. Try their meatballs and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Wonderful service as well.
We are out of town and passing through Des Moines. I am Italian and always weary of Italian restaurants but this place atmosphere was great and the food wonderful. Definitely would recommend.
A classic Des Moines restaurant for Italian American food. Stepping into Tumea and Sons is like being transported to a 1970s Italian American restaurant from the decor to the music to the ambience. The service is friendly. The food is good.
