I eat in this spot a lot since I work close by. I have to say their service is always fantastic and they keep the spot well kept regularly. Rates are fair and they serve big portions.

I used to come here all the time to get what I felt was the best bbq in the area. Ever since the new ownership things have taken a nose dive. Overpriced, questionable food quality, and above all, rude staff. I will never be back

If there was a higher rating I would click on it. The food is absolutely amazing. I was with a colleague in Des Moines recently and we stopped here for a bite. Afterwards, he asked me how I liked the food. I told him that I feel like whoever made the food actually loved me. Ha! Its that good. I had the pulled pork sandwich, cornbread (complimentary), mashed potatoes with cheese, and baked beans. You must try the mashed with cheese!!!!

This is the first time I've eaten here even though I've lived about 5 minutes away for two year now. And I have to say it's the best BBQ I've had in Des Moines so far. The brisket and burnt ends are awesome! The sauce was great. Kind of sweet with a tangy kick. And the sides were all amazing too. The cheesy potatoes, cucumbers and baked beans were my favorite. And the cornbread....omg! I'm going to crave that cornbread in the near future
