Wonderful place with wonderful staff. The baristas are kind and give great recommendations. Not a traditional coffee place, but that’s what makes it great.

Lovely coffee shop. Love the ambiance created by the plants inside this historic coffee shop. Coffee was great and the service was very friendly.

Great coffee! Someone new was training the last time we were in and my order was wrong but they immediately remedied that once notified. Great customer service! But, seriously, the coffee is on-point! Not overly roasted, not too acidic. Just perfectly balanced. They have a special blend that is served at Aposto. I am hooked! Need to try the food next time!

Excellent service and coffee, styrofoam cup was a bit of a let down but I could have been temporary. Staff is friendly and efficient and the coffee delicious

Plastic cup PAPER straw?? Tell me how that makes any sense. Virtue signalling weirdos. The coffee was good until my straw disintegrated into it.

For a fan of darker, bolder roast coffees and espresso, Zanzibar is top notch, can't be matched in the metro. Their cappuccino is my favorite, and their breakfast food options are killer as well. Breakfast eggspress and Linda special are both favorites of mine. They have been around a long time, are in a nice spot downtown with a dark cozy interior and rotating art. They have great selections for whole roasted beans as well. There are some other great modern 3rd wave shops in the metro now with great coffee, but they are all very similar, and Zanzibar has at least the same quality, but with a much different personality and a different lineup of coffee, with great bold and darker roasts. Top notch.

Lots of great reading material from newspapers, magazines-even children's books!

I haven't been to Zanzibar since before the pandemic began. The ambiance is dimly lit, so if you plan to work remotely here, make sure you're near a wall sconce or directly under an ceiling light. You can also get here early and snag the beautiful, bright spot by the south-faving window. I love that spot the most because you get beautiful light, people-watch, and sit under the magnificent mature plants in the corner near the order pick-up counter
Staff is always so friendly and accommodating! I got the Mocha Blanc and will definitely be coming back for one soon!

Parking: Parking on Ingersoll is free, but limited!

Wheelchair accessibility: Does not have an automatic door feature ofr wheelchairs and the space is narrow.

Five stars for one of the best coffee shops in town. You feel cozy in Zanzibars, you feel welcomed, and the best -- you get a warm cup of coffee and one of the best breakfast sandwiches in town.
