We were in the area from out of town and saw the Varsity Tap had good reviews, so we gave it a try. Our waiter was helpful, friendly, and pleasant to talk to. We ordered a pizza which was very good

First time customers. Stopped in and ordered to go, 2 specials of the soft shell tacos. Got them home and was quite disappointed. The taco meat was over cooked with some of the meat being hard. Everything else was fine. If we would have been dining in, would have sent them back.

I haven't had the food since it was Jorgie's. The bartender was great, but the decor is confusing. Varsity makes me think of sports, but there isn't anything Central Sabers, and you have a lot of old classic car stuff which, don't get me wrong, it's cool, but it doesn't say VARSITY Get the decor right here please, either it's Varsity, a local small town sports bar, or its just 'a bar' with random decor the owner thought was cool. This place has a lot of potential, it's just not reaching it yet. Get the DeWitt Central Saber spirit and have some jerseys with purple & gold in that place.
