Great experience!
We had a highway hiccup right in front of this winery. Flat tire on out travel trailer 25 min from our destination. We were woefully unprepared. Besides having an actual spare, and having air in it, we had nothing to take the blown tire off. We pulled into the parking lot to assess our situation. No tools.. and Im a mechanic. Wife walked to the winery to see if they maybe had tools to remove the tire. Not only did they have the tools, but Gabe, who identified himself as the owners son came out with a forklift and his personal tools to help us. I begged him to take cash for helping us. He absolutely refused. After the tire change, we drowned our sorrows tasting wine and buying a few bottles. 100% recommended.
Great little winery with wonderful views, fun selection of drinks, and delicious pizza. We greatly enjoyed our night out here..but wish they offered at least some customization on their pizzas. Worth a date night, event, or just a casual stop. The inside seating is great and so is the outside seating, although they could use more options to block the sun on the hot days.
TYCOGA Winery offers a delightful and affordable tasting experience for wine lovers visiting Iowa. While the overall selection is decent, the standout for me was their aged oak barrel red wine—beautifully dry with just the right balance of richness and character. It’s a wine worth coming back for.
The pricing across the board is very reasonable, making it easy to enjoy a full tasting without breaking the bank. The venue blends the feel of a true winery with the relaxed charm of a local eatery. Their wood-fired pizza was surprisingly good—not the main attraction, but definitely satisfying. What really caught me off guard, though, were the cheesecake bites—rich, creamy, and absolutely worth trying.
To top it off, the vineyard view in the back adds a peaceful and scenic backdrop to the entire experience. TYCOGA isn’t just a winery—it’s a relaxing spot to enjoy good wine, good food, and good company. Definitely worth a stop if you’re passing through.
Very nice service delicious pizza.
We went in and asked a flight the manager, William l, recommended a tasting to find the wine that best suited myself snd my two friends. He was wonderful to do the tasting with. He helped each of us find the wine that we each liked best. Amazingly that was the first wine each of us tried. He really listened to what each of us like in wine. Fun experience and beautiful place.
The manager shared his knowledge with us! The whole experience was amazing with excellent wine!
We absolutely love Tycoga Winery & Distillery! We’ve been here many times for wine tastings, to stock up on our favorite bottles, and, of course, for their AMAZING pizza. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, making every visit a great experience.
Tycoga holds a special place in our hearts because we also had our wedding here, and it was nothing short of perfect. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the team made sure everything ran smoothly, allowing us to truly enjoy a stress-free and unforgettable day.
Whether you're looking for a relaxing afternoon of wine tasting, a delicious meal, or a stunning event venue, Tycoga is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Great establishment! An excellent experience in the plastic igloos! On an extremely cold day we were outside and it felt like it was summer. We got so warm we had to take our coats off. The pizza 🍕 was delicious and the wine 🍷 was amazing 🤩 A huge thank you to them for their donation of bottles of their delicious wines to put into our (D’Arte Art Gallery and Breakfast ) gift basket 🧺 at the Maquoketa Chamber Gala/Murder mystery, I am certain it will be a big hit with the lucky winners!❤️🍷🍾🍕🤩
