While the food we had was really good and the interaction that we had with one of the employees was very off putting. Upon arrival we were able to find a table right away and asked what drinks we would like right away. My two kids had a positive interactions with who I would assume was one of the owners or a family member of the owner. At one point of time, he snuck my kids a broken cookie and told them they can eat it before the food came and not to tell his wife!
Where we sat and the chair I sat in you could only look towards the front dining area if you looked elsewhere, it would seem like you were staring at other people. As we were still waiting for our food, I was looking straight ahead just minding my own business and talking to my children, one of the employees (who I would assume is the owners daughter or family member of the owner due to the resemblance) looked at me and said “what is it that you are waiting for?” If she didn’t have the tone I would have thought she genuinely cared but her tone did not come off that way. But my response was “just our food we ordered.” I completely understand that they had been slammed after we came in but I’m still a customer and if we were done, we would have gone to the register to pay and left.
A couple minutes after getting our food, I told my kids to just eat quickly as they were closing in 30 minutes. I never felt so rush eating before at a restaurant but we were. Before I was done eating the daughter/one of the employees asked what we had so she can close out. Once told, she came back and said, “it looks like you have a cookie too so you can just pay for it upfront”. At this point of time I was already feelings rushed and off put by this employee that I just said “yes we will pay for it when we go up to pay for our meals”.
I would have loved it to give this local, family owned small business a great review as my salad was delicious, my son’s sandwich was really good, and my daughter's soup and bread smelled amazing but unfortunately one employee can ruin a customers experience.
This was only our second time coming in and I know my business won’t matter to them but not sure if we will be back anytime soon.

This place and the staff are remarkably kind and offer such wonderful food, hospitality, service! The place is so cute and clean . The owner has such a wonderful personality and heart 💗 She took care of our dear friend’s memorial meal with such perfection! I highly recommend! If you don’t visit you are missing out.

Paid 7$ and waited a damn near an hour for a bowl of regular Kraft Mac and Cheese and a bowl of fruit with a hair in it just sitting on top in plain view. The server was a very nice person I feel bad she has at work at such an establishment. Would not recommend to eat here.

If I could give your awful service, terrible attitude and the whole experience zero stars I would. Not one of you came over to check on us. Didn’t get my check either. Have a day.
Wow, what a great place to have lunch! Great food ( try the soup!) and great friendly service.

The website and sign in the door says open until 2pm. However, as I opened the door at 1:30om, a staff member walked up and placed a closed sign directly in front of me. No eye contact. Nada. They couldn’t even manage a polite “sorry, we stop serving at X time.” If that’s any indication of their customer service, I’m not likely to stop there in the future. Poor customer service. And since you really close at 1:30pm, then that’s what you should put on your website, Google and your door.

Went in during the lunch hour. Be careful during the lunch rush and other busy times when the staff feels rushed with lines out the door. The staff was great, but there was no attention to detail on allergens and cross contamination.
Take your time with your orders. The manager was rushing everybody. She was clearly putting too much stress on her employees. I will not be going back until they start paying actual attenton to allergens. It was a nightmare for people like me with tree nut allergies. Pesto comes from pine nuts. Not sure the staff even knew that. It was tucked into a full paragraph with the other ingredients on the Panini. No asterisks or anything.
There needs to be annotations and notes on the menus. And the staff needs better leadershis so they can stay on the ball. The bathroom situation was also a disaster. One room for the whole place in Dewitt, IA. The fruit bar dessert was excellent, but that’s my only compliment for how the place is managed.
