Salad with your hair! I ordered a sandwich which came with a wonderful looking salad. The first few bites were delicious, until! I noticed a hair in the salad, which turned out to be a big knotted mass of hair of the likes I've never seen in food before( a strand of hair is one thing, but a big knot). Yes, it was disgusting! After they took away the hairball salad, a owner came to the table and asked if I wanted to move to different part of the restaurant, which seemed odd. I told her that I had no intention of moving and questioned why she would even ask. To there credit, they did comp my meal, which i couldn't eat anyway, but they handled it very poorly. Beware of the hair

I have never had a bad meal here. Excellent service and a relaxed atmosphere. Specials are worth consideration, but regular menu items are all delicious.

Stopped on the way home from the dells. So glad we did. Great service! Food came out quick and good portions. I have celiac and it was amazing that they offer gluten free toast and use a separate toaster!

I have eaten several there several times, and each thing I've tried was wonderful. The service is friendly, wait times were short, and the prices were reasonable. Maybe most impressed with the size of the dining area. Don't judge a book by its cover. Step inside and see what it's about.

My girlfriend and I went here for breakfast back in the middle of August. It was a great breakfast that we would definitely have again. Fast forward to this past Sunday, and we couldn't decide on somewhere for lunch. She mentioned Birdie's, so we ended up there. She had the Mississippi pot roast & I had the Texas turkey melt. It was a great meal to the point where when we are in Dubuque, it's our go-to restaurant for breakfast & lunch.
Thank you for the great food & great service!!!!!!
