The food and atmosphere is always great BUT the beer was 'OFF'. My hubby and I both had pints of different craft beers. Both tasted OFF, barely drinkable. PLEASE CLEAN YOUR TAP LINES MORE OFTEN! Next time we go I'm asking for a sample first. This is the second time this year I could barely drink my beer.

We came here with family on a Friday night for dinner and were seated right away. Me and my SIL each had a bowl of clam chowder and we split two appetizers: fried alligator nuggets and fried catfish fingers. The clam chowder was tasty. We both agreed that the alligator nuggets were much better than the catfish fingers. My husband and his brother both had a bowl of seafood gumbo which was good but could’ve used more seafood. Our server was phenomenal: friendly and often checked in on us.
Went on a river cruise. Was very pretty. Captain of the yacht was very informative. Enjoyed it very much.
Enough food on my catfish bites platter for 2 meals! Sides were a bit warm, not hot, but still good. Nice view of the river.
I took my family to this location and we sat outside on the deck. Let me start by saying the waitress was wonderful. She really tried to make our experience good. My wife and I ordered a salad and the Bayou Platter. The salad was pretty good - and the dressing pre mixed was appropriate and quite tasty. The platter however - yikes!. The sausage was dried out as bad as the chicken. The jambalaya was more like a porridge. I couldn’t even finish it. The kids had shrimp and fries. Hard to screw that up. Additionally the place was really worn down and showing its age. Paint peeling, deck boards loose and table umbrellas that don’t work. There are other good outdoor dining places in Dubuque worth checking out before going here. If you do, get a burger.
Went for the outdoor patio which is always lovely, but once again had service that was 4/10 and food that was inedible. Sat for nearly 30 mins with my plate to the side of barely eaten food, before I eventually went to ask for my bill. I’ll keep it at that- no need to mention the details, 2/10. Drinks on the patio is what makes it a nice time.
Friendly and attentive staff. Shrimp was delicious -- lightly breaded and cooked just right. Smashed potatoes were ok. Delicious greens, apple vinaigrette so good! Ponga fillet very tasty. Good mea overall. Nice outdoor eating area. Perfect way to get a good seat on the American Lady for evening cruise.
We had called ahead for 16 people at 2pm approximately ( we arrived by boat) over an hour early with 21 people. They handled us so efficiently, effectively and professionally I felt compelled to write a review. They pulled some tables together, wiped them down and had a drink order taken lickety split. Our water glasses were never empty. Our food was hot, fresh and delicious. The server was top notch. Friendly and perfect timing on check backs and getting the check. Really fun setting with good taste nautical decor and fun outside patio. Funny sayings on the wall and on the Senior menu. 21 people is a crowd to please. The only drawback was the server should include a 20% gratuity on a group that size. We were very pleased. The place was bustling with a private birthday party and lots of other guests, but that didn’t affect our dining experience.

We showed up on a Saturday. We tried to do a reservation but they don’t do them. We were told it was a 20 minute wait which ended up being about 45 minutes. Bartender lost my card behind the bar and couldn’t get it back, waiter didn’t write anything down and was messing up orders left and right. We waited an hour for food and half of it was dry and messed up. Waiter took no accountability and didn’t get the hint when none of us said the food was good. We all work in customer service and were trying our best to be patient but it was an awful experience all around and it was for a birthday. First time here and I will never come back
We went for lunch on a Sunday. The service was impeccable. Our waitress (Tiani) was incredibly proactive and polite. The food was fantastic. Portions were great!
Tried again after 10 year haitus hoping things would be better this time…. Nope..
Food was mediocre at best… but when your waiter disappears for 15 minutes at a time….yeah, I will pass
