HuHot Mongolian Grill

The cooks are great and very friendly. The service of the waitress was horrendous. I’ve worked in customer service, and understand that being short staffed affects how a job is done, but this was not an exception. Our waitress seated us, and forgot our silverware. We sat for several minutes as our food got cold, as she would dodge our table or go into the back room so we could not ask her. Eventually we got her attention. She did not come back and ask us if we needed anything, or take our empty plates off the table. After we waited 30 minutes for our bill, it was messed up. She went to fix it, and didn’t come back. We had to ask one of the cooks to grab someone to help us pay.

Service was terrible, servers didn’t seat us for 10 minutes and they forgot our drinks so we had to walk up to get our drinks and silverware. however the cooks were good and the food was great. Overall the service was bad and the waiters and waitresses didn’t even care about the customers

I had never been there before there was no one at the hostess station for a couple minutes just a we’re hiring sign. So I went through the line and got my food cooked. Still No one at the host station so I sat at the bar. Got a servers attention asking for silverware he said that he didn’t know who my server would be in the rotation. Finally a server gave me silverware and water by the time my food was almost cold. Waited around 20 minutes to pay my bill the server figured out that I never had a server assigned to me. So I paid my bill and left and no host as I left. Looked at their website after leaving and realized that their prices were wrong.

I'll be honest, it's been years since I have been here, I now regret that decision.. the food is beyond amazing.. talking to the chefs while they are cooking and the waitress made sure our drinks were full and the table was cleaned off every time we went for another plate!!

The food was good. The guys working the grill were great and worked very hard.

The service was near non-existent from our server. The other server she was extremely rude. She refused to assist and had terrible attitude. If I was manager I would have fired her instantly.

Overall, terrible experience with our group. It’ll be a while before we are back because I do believe in second chances.

We tried HuHot while visiting the area over the weekend. We were really looking forward to the meal because we have eaten at many other Mongolian Grill type places. This one was lacking. The buffet area was quite messy including the floor and the containers were not full. If we had specific allergies, it would be worrisome because of cross contamination. It was suggested to add 6-8 scoops of sauces to the bowl, but not a lot of taste came through in the actual bowl. Plus it did not come off the grill piping hot, my broccoli was still very raw. Our server was pretty non-existent the whole time we were at our table. Didn't check back on us and we had to ask for our check.

Christine W was absolutely terrible! Only checked in once to give us water and didn’t ask how things were and never saw her again! Had to pay online cause she never came around!

It was our first and last time at this location. Our waitress Hailey forgot our drinks, we had to ask for them again. Asked for rice 3 times.. was served with plastic forks. after asking for rice our last time we went up for another plate and came back to nothing at our table. They took everything. I had to go find our waitress that was standing at the register and ask for everything new again. At least the second time we got real forks. Our waitress never once came to check on us only stopped by to ask if we were ready for the recipe and when she did bring it, she didn’t say a word and just slide it on the table from behind me and didn’t acknowledge anyone. Honestly worse service I’ve ever had in any restaurant.. literally a joke.

So me and my husband love Huhot! It is our go to meal when we don’t cook at home. The service is usually good and the food comes out fantastic! The cook Chris (sorry if it’s spelled wrong) is absolutely fantastic and always nice and friendly. Today there was someone new on the grill with him and then new guy kept saying snarky comments every time we went up saying he didn’t know how to cook on the grill. He cooks our food every time we come and it’s perfect. The first time we went up the new cook left our noodles on the grill too long so they were burnt. The second time we went up he only flipped the noodles 1 time so none of the sauce got onto the noodles and were so they ended up dry. I asked a server to help and she helped me just have Chris make the food. It came out great when he didn’t have the other cook trying to budge his way onto my food. So shoutout to Chris I hope your manager fixes that extremely unprofessional attitude of the other cook!
