I never have any idea when this place is open. I’ve lived in Dubuque for over two years and have only had one successful visit. Hours aren’t posted anywhere and even on a Saturday at 2pm during the summer, it was dark inside with no indications of being open later, or at any point in time, ever. How can a business operate this way?? And more importantly, why would they??

They serve my favorite Madison ice cream, but it's literally just a window to order from a sidewalk. Both times we went the lobby was not open. Prices are pretty darn high, but worth it on a hot day.

I noticed this place a few months ago when picking up a birthday cake from a shop across the street. I was excited to finally bring my family here to try it out. Sadly, I was so disappointed. First of all, they don’t let you even step inside as if it’s still 2020. Not only do they not allow you to sit inside; you aren’t even allow to open the door to order inside. You can order around the side of the building at a little window. Had I known this, we would have NEVER tried this place. I mean standing downtown on the street corner while your little kids attempt to eat ice cream, it’s just a horrible experience. There is one small bench that might fit two people if NO one was around. And you’re talking, standing on the busy downtown street with your family while eating ice cream. I mean, we will never be back. I wish we knew that you couldn’t eat inside. Hopefully this helps someone not waste their ice cream date! I had the lemon meringue and honestly, it was soooooo good!!!! I loved every bite. The portions are very small. And it’s pricier than even Betty Janes or cold stone, which are the usual places we go for ice cream together. It was $28 for 4 of us, and 3 of us only got one scoop. If the experience was fun, I wouldn’t care about price. But, to STAND OUTSIDE ON THE DOWNTOWN STREET and eat ice cream… I mean we will never go again. But if you go, get the lemon meringue. It was so so good!!!!

Ice cream is very good but both times we were in the area, we had to wait for them to open. They are not open at any times they post. The second time, they never showed up at all. Disappointing.

I just went there for the first time and I was one happy customer! Lady at the window was very nice and friendly. Once I received my waffle cone I was very impressed with the quantity! I highly recommend, and will be returning!
