Pancheros Mexican Grill - Dubuque

Stopped in 40 min before close to eat in. EVERY table filthy. Cleaned off my own table. When looking for a trash can 20 minutes before closing, they were all removed. I was reprimanded by the cleaning lady as she was looking to shut the dining room down. Strange rules.

This is a very popular spot for college kids.
There are a lots of options to choose as you walk through the assembly line. 😀 Be ready to move through it fast on a Friday night Lol... you can also order ahead and pick up..probably what I will do next time.
Vegetarian options too.

This was awful. Typically orders are fairly good size but the most recent was at least half the size of a typical order. The burrito bowl was not even half full and the quesadillas was laughable in size. Put it this way... after eating this we had to make dinner at home. Just insane.

I’ve been coming to Pancheros for YEARS and it used to be my favorite place to eat. Sadly, it has completely gone downhill. Today was the last straw.

First off, my rice wasn’t even cooked. Not undercooked literally not cooked. That’s basic food prep, and they couldn’t even get that right. Then, the way the staff handled my food was beyond disgusting. Instead of keeping it on the wrapper where it belonged, they dragged it across the entire counter like it was nothing. Totally careless and unsanitary.

To top it off, they even overcharged us for the mess of a meal we got.

This place used to be great, but now it’s just sloppy, overpriced, and disappointing. Pancheros has lost all the quality and care that made it worth going to. Absolutely unacceptable.

The absolute worst service ever! The cashier kept walking away and eating chips while people were at the register. She did not acknowledge anything we said and then snapped at me when I asked about drinks and rolled her eyes at me. We have never had such horrible service here before. I hope things change or you train that cashier in customer service. You’ll lose business!!

This place has really gone down hill. Stale chips and they cant mix the burrito contents a few bites of just rice, then just pick, then just source am then just hot sauce. And its all cold. The inside is realy dirty too. Not sure its worth 30$ for 2 burritos and chips

I ordered a bowl for pickup and was honestly shocked by how small the portion was. For the price, I expected a full meal — instead, it looked like it was sized for a kid. It was barely filled, almost like they scooped half of what you’d get dining in. Super disappointing, especially when you’re expecting a solid, filling lunch. Definitely not worth what I paid.

this is my final goodbye to panch. i have tried many times i’ve give them multiple chances for YEARS and they still get meat in my vegan burrito. let me explain. my order is a burrito with double rice, pinto beans, tofu, and then x2 guac. i get the same thing every time and every time they seem to either get chicken or pulled pork mixed into my burrito. and this is scary because how am i supposed to bite into it without knowing what’s in it. the last 3 times i’ve been there recently they screwed me over. the 1st recent one was a full piece of pulled pork i found in my burrito mixed in. the second was not 1 not 2 but 5 pieces of chicken in my burrito mixed in. this one was from mobile ordering. btw the new way they are taking care of mobile orders, isn’t infront of you like where u start a line, it’s in the back they have a whole set up with everything but just doing the orders there now ?!? anyways the third time was today. 6/29/25 i walked in and ordered a burrito to go. and everything looked fine i didn’t see any pieces of meat being in the burrito while they where making it. but when i got home and started eating my burrito there was a small piece of pulled pork mixed in it looked like it must’ve fallen in the tofu bucket which there is no protection over and is right next to the meat. as a vegetarian transitioning to a vegan, this is not only concerning but disgusting. they do not care about the cross contamination of meat from a animal to vegan tofu from a plant. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PANCHEROS TO ANY NON MEAT EATER.

Great burritos bowls and carne asada

I like pancheros

Always a treat, better than Qdoba, but the same kind of meals. The tofurizo was delicious, excellent service, always room to park and to sit. Definitely a fave!
