Pan de bono is delicious! Great coffee and attentive staff :)
We stopped in two days in a row because my 5 year old “couldn’t sleep” until she had the powdered sugar donuts again 😂 the Pastel Gloria and arepitas - both absolutely incredible!! Delicious coffee too - highly recommend the Rustic Coffee. It is a must visit!

Papi’s Café is a cute, quaint, and inviting little gem of a place in Dubuque. The cafe offers counter service with a few booths inside and outdoor seating, allowing guests to dine in or get food to go. The environment is friendly, welcoming, and warm, with a staff that is genuinely kind and provides wonderful, fast service.
The food is incredible, amazing, fresh, tasty, authentic, delicious, and well done. Highly recommended items include the empanadas, empanaditas, yuca fries, mini donuts, and the guava donut. For drinks, the coffee is considered the best in town, with the golden latte noted as perfectly smooth and well balanced. The limeade is super refreshing and bright. It is a hidden gem that makes you want to stick around and return, a delightful spot for a snack, lunch, or a brain break.
