Rusty Taco 2.0. We finally came back to try Rusty Taco since it’s reopening. Walking in I noticed that they don’t have that blaring music anymore 🥳 Menu is a like different but still tons of options. We ordered the chips and salsa to start. You get it right away while your food is cooking. For $2.50 you get a ton of chips and salsa!! Plenty for two adults and a 7 year old. We got the smash burger taco(delicious), fajita taco(also delicious), and birria tacos(they were ok). Kids quesadillas were given two thumbs up by the kiddo. The price was a little high but overall average for what we spend to go out as the three of us. We were the only ones in there when we walked in and a few of the tables were kind of dirty.

The food here was delicious! I had a steak Street taco, as well as some queso and chips. My family had some steak nachos and queso as well, and my wife had a shrimp taco that she loved. The reason I only gave four stars on the food instead of five, is the fact that the steak wasn't thinly sliced, and instead it was like large chunks had been cut off of a larger chunk of meat. So instead of being able to scoop chunks of meat onto my chip and dip it in some queso, I had to balance a piece of steak on my chip or just eat the steak separately. The queso was so extremely hot and spicy, that my family and I couldn't taste the actual cheese, only the bitter hotness of the spice. My kids ended up refusing to eat the queso, because it was so spicy, but my wife and I ate it because we had paid for it. We ended up having to go to a fast food place afterward, to get our girls different meals, so we paid for two dinners that night:-). The service was spot on, the young lady I spoke to, was very understanding of my dietary needs, and my desire just to put together my own street taco, without choosing a specific option on the menu. I did ask for plenty of limes, and was only provided to between both my wife's and my meal, but that I'm sure was an oversight, due to our large and confusing order, due to my family's dietary needs as well. I gave it three for atmosphere, because though the restaurant was very clean, and very well built and comfy, all they had playing on the 10 or so TV screens, we're sports, and I'm pretty sure it was all basketball. We are not Sports people, and we have kids with us, and it would have been nice, to have a kids show, or a family show, like a movie or something going. I mean we were the only ones in there, except for one other person that came in, so it felt like we were in a sports bar. Otherwise it was a very good experience and I would return to try different options, simply because despite our problems with the food, it was well cooked, it tasted good, and was quality food. In addition, the service was absolutely excellent, and both the pride in which the cook takes in preparing the meals, and the friendly and understanding customer service provided by the clerk, is what draws me back, to try some more. Keep it up folks!
I don't recommend this place to anyone. They use to have good food and a great environment. When I last went though, you could tell no one cared enough to do the basics. The floors were so tricky and the tables discussing. The male bathroom was out of order. The female bathroom had not been cleaned in at least a week. You could barely breath due to all the smoke in the air. They had no fans on or anything to help ventilate the place. I would say to save you money and go elsewhere. Zero stars if I could.

The nachos are AMAZING!! The new owner is awesome and the employees are obviously trying hard to reverse the negativity that came from the previous owner. Seriously, it's not what it was. Give em a shot! It's well deserved!

New owners doing a great job. The fried chicken is actual chicken strips instead of chopped up pieces. The cabbage has always been crispy fresh. Shrimp tacos have a generous amount of shrimp.
Vegetarian options: Super limited vegetarian options for tacos either fajita veggies or black beans.
Dietary restrictions: I saw no options for vegan or gluten free
Parking: Parking lot shared with grocery store Nextdoor but lots of space
Kid-friendliness: There are kids options from cheese quesadillas to chicken strips and even a couple taco options. Would recommend if your kid likes these
Wheelchair accessibility: The entry is super cramped and requires a few sharp narrow turn. But once you’re in it’s a bit more open. No tables set up to roll up to though. Can’t speak on the bathroom. The ordering counter is at a low height so there’s great visibility.
Staff made us feel uncomfortable. Came and asked for our numbers at our table. Food was gross. Tasted old and dry. Can’t get plain avocado on anything anymore. Don’t waste your money.

Food was bland and ridiculously tiny portions for the price! My son and I spent almost $40 (with a tip given before we weee given food which was dumb) and it was not good and crazy small. Plus I paid twice as much extra than stated for sour cream and never even got it.
