After watching Mark Wiens explore the food scene in Qatar on YouTube, I was inspired to try it for myself. While they don’t serve Mandi here, the Biryani is the closest you’ll find in Dubuque—and it’s fantastic. The food was truly amazing; I loved it!

Just enjoyed a most delicious chicken mango dinner at Swagat. The perfectly seasoned melt-in-your-mouth chicken was served in a creamy, flavorful sauce paired with fragrant basmati rice and an amazing garlic Naan! And, the ecstatic delight on my dinner partner’s face made me regret not having a mango lassi. There was “no room” for dessert. Service was gracious and attentive. I am already looking forward to my next meal here.

Dubuque really needed to spice things up and Swagat did just that. The space gives you a fine dining feel, but you can dress down as well. Pick up is always fast. I have never had a meal that I have not enjoyed!
Had chicken Mango curry and was amazing and so full of flavor. The cheese Naan literally melted in you mouth. I highly recommend. My friend had the peppered goat and he also said it was very good !

I ordered Chicken 65 and Vegetable Biryani from Swagat Indian via DoorDash. The food arrived warm, which I appreciated, but the rest of the experience was disappointing. The Chicken 65 looked nothing like the photo on the menu, and based on my experience dining at several Indian restaurants, this dish was not even close to an authentic Chicken 65. The Vegetable Biryani was also underwhelming — it had only a few peas, a couple of corn kernels, and a few green beans, and the vegetables didn’t taste fresh. Overall, I expected much better quality and authenticity from Swagat Indian.

Friendly helpful service. I haven't had a good curry in a long time. We ordered the Lamb Korma, Chilly Chicken, Garlic Naan and Garlic Cheese Naan. We like hot but medium heat was just right. Everything was delicious. We plan on going back to try more items on the menu.
