Popped into this The LIft in Dubuque on Friday night and had so much fun we came back again on Saturday. The staff and the patrons were all very nice and fun to chat with. Drinks were excellent. The band they had on Saturday was awesome so we were glad we came back. I unfortunately left my card and when i called the owner on Monday he took care of this immediately. Living 3 hours away I truly appreciated his help. I will definitely continue to recommend this place to any of my friends that are headed to downtown Dubuque. The Lift is a great place to put on the list. !! !:)

This is a hidden gem located below Vinnys Little Italy. It gives you the vibe of the old prohibition bars. The bartender (didn't get his name) was a wealth of info and a great conversationalist.

I've been here a bunch whenever I visit Dubuque. I always run into some old friends and acquaintances and the venue is always good for live music and drinks. The darts board is located in a fun spot too. 5 stars from me!

Been coming here for years,especially last 2 it's my 2nd place i vibe with. Literally only giving 2 stars because bartenders are rock stars, make amazing drinks and take so much shit when they don't need to. Sadly won't ever be returning due to ownership, disgusted and disappointed
Went to The Lift to listen to my son's band, Rafterbat. The atmosphere was cozy, dark, basement vibes with lots of visual appeal and interesting nooks and crannies to hang out in with pool and darts available. The people were chill, and bartender knew his stuff. He saved my ass by mailing me my forgotten debit card. Def check out this place for their amazing live music!
