Went to The Lift to listen to my son's band, Rafterbat. The atmosphere was cozy, dark, basement vibes with lots of visual appeal and interesting nooks and crannies to hang out in with pool and darts available. The people were chill, and bartender knew his stuff. He saved my ass by mailing me my forgotten debit card. Def check out this place for their amazing live music!
This place has the flavors of an underground tortoise fight club in an early 1980s Lithuanian viešnamyje and festively embellished with pretty betchun multiverse atomic age jazz groups.
The Lift in Dubuque is excellent! Great staff, the bar is fun and has it's own style. You're in the heart of the best part of Downtown. If you're in Dubuque you should visit The Lift.
