The food was wonderful. However, the service was sub par at best. Never offered refills, we were never asked if we'd like another beverage. We felt like we were a bother to our waiter. The waitresses seemed eager to serve their tables. I wish we could say the same for our waiter.

The ribeye steak was cooked beautifully and full of flavor. The plank salmon was also very good, though the skin stuck to the plank. The Brussels sprouts had a nice char, but could have used a touch more seasoning or sauce. The au gratin potatoes were cheesy, creamy, and very satisfying — definitely a favorite side. Dessert was outstanding — the toffee pudding cake with ice cream was absolutely amazing. Our server was polite and friendly overall, though a little snarky at times and slower to check in when we first arrived

My rack of lamb was done perfectly and my wife's surf and turf was also done to perfection. At the end of the dinner we received a complimentary dessert as it was our 28th wedding anniversary. While we don't dine at Woodfire Grille often, the times we have were always amazing.

Treated a friend to this. He had the Tomahawk Ribeye with asparagus and I had the porterhouse steak with steamed broccoli (special order). When our meals arrived, mine came with asparagus, which I gave to my friend. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Fire is the theme. Constant propane fire. Central fireplace and along the bottom of all the window. When we came, it was shortly after they opened so few guests were there. We had a nice experience.

This was our first dinner at Woodfire Grill and it was outstanding!! Such a pretty restaurant with cozy fireplaces surrounding the perimeter. Our dinner was delicious and portions more than generous. I ordered the crab cake appetizer as my entree and it was a great choice! Two good sized crab cakes...handmade not frozen. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu and wine selections. All in all, we had a very nice experience and the next time we're in Dubuque, we will return!!
