Food is nasty slop, there was a hair in my food once too, and they always overcharge me 2 or 3 bucks like the menu is all wrong. The place is always dark and completely empty too.

The restaurant has great decorations and looks like the food should be amazing. Our food tasted like salt without any other flavor. The egg drop soup and the sauce in our main dishes were gelatinous. The crab rangoon was just cream cheese in a shell. We barely ate any of our food and kicked ourselves for not reading these reviews first. It was one of the worst meals we've ever had.

Got takeout. Quality of food OK. Got the crab rangoons and the texture of them seemed like they were left over from lunch and reheated. Overcooked and dry. Got the spicy chicken which wasn't spicy. Not much flavor either. The staff there very friendly.

Wow. I'm not sure how this place gets anything other than 1 star from anyone. Simply the worst food I've ever had. The restaurant itself was dirty, dingy, and smelled like mildew. The server was pretty odd, rude, and dismissive.
The "egg drop soup" was so viscous the spoon stood up in it. The only flavor it had was a bit of old deep fryer oil. I took two spoons of it before I got worried I might get sick. With the main, I got a crab rangoon. Not sure how but it tasted a little bit like bleach.
In my dish there were baby potatoes, which was weird and not correct. My only guess is that they saw a picture of the dish and saw water chestnuts in the picture and then decided they must be looking at baby potatoes? We also had fried rice which wasn't fried at all. It was steamed brown rice with some peas and carrots in it. Did they see a picture of fried rice and wonder why it was brown and then guessed it was brown rice? Who knows, but they Do. Not. Know. Chinese. Food!
We were both so grossed out, we just left money on the table and left. My dining partner had one bite of their main, and none of the soup because the food was so disgusting.

Cool place.. very authentic Chinese decor.. great place for vacationers and family and privately run, but unfortunately food was just average or below for me.
The other 5 in my group felt the same way! My sister liked the orange chicken though.
Very disappointed no Lo mein, doesn’t every Chinese place have Lo Mein?
Just very bland and not a lot of sea food in my dish like I expected. Drinks a bit watered down. Service was great! Close to our place so it was convenient to walk.

Hot tea was well steeped and made tgis tea nerd pretty happy...We had the appetizer platter, San San and Sizzling Rice Soups, Yen Ching pork, and the Szechuan Duck - everything was absolutely amazing! The pork has a wonderful flavor and came with lots of veggies but the duck was a show stopper - it's not often you can get half a duck, and that sauce was to die for!! I'm leaving excited to eat my leftovers.

I do believe this was the worst meal I have ever had in Dubuque. I ordered yellow chicken curry. Don't! What arrive was a huge serving of white rice. Then after several more minutes a plate came out. It consisted of huge cubes of Irish potatoes, bell peppers, onions, and carrots in a clear gelatinous corn starch sauce with no flavor. It did have some thinly sliced chicken pieces in it that had some flavor. This tasted nothing like curry. It was more German than anything??? Oh, the huge potato chunks were still raw. Disappointing.

The food was inedible. Disgusting is another word. Egg Drop Soup beyond bad. I just can’t understand the 5 stars. The worst Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to in years. Chung King in a can is a better choice.

Worst Chinese food we've ever had. Pot stickers were frozen. When I told them they took them and brought back fewer of them than they took and they were extremely hot. I'm guessing they microwaved them. We don't even remember what we got because we didn't eat much of it. No taste. Bland bland bland. The lady who came to give us the bill saw that we hardly ate any of the food and couldn't understand that we didn't want to take the leftovers.
