Stopped by here on the way to Ames and had an excellent overall experience! The service was prompt and the food was also great. It also felt small yet welcoming which is definitely a positive! The Stumpy Burger that I had was excellent. If I come around this way again, I'll certainly stop on by!
Went into the establishment which was busy with football on the TVs. Found a table, was looking at the menu when another patron informed us that the kitchen was closed on Sundays. We were looking for a late lunch or early supper so that was it.
Headed from Iowa City to Sioux City for a college visit for my son. The decision of the group is everyone is in the mood for burgers. Road Tripper app and Google Maps both have this listed as an incredibly highly rated stop. COULD NOT AGREE MORE!! We all shared some appetizers (jalapeño cheese curds, Stumpy bites - pork tenderloin, and jalapeño poppers) and both kids got burgers that were according to them “in the top 5 burgers they’ve ever had!” I had the Tip Gun burger...
