Nice place but as the sign says, don't be late they close at 8:00. We were on an Iowa tenderloin tour and this one was average compared to most that we've had. Good crunch but lacked any standout flavor. Friendly staff, though, and a nice place as far as decor inside.

Traveling through from Columbus Nebraska and stopped at Larson's Pub. They claim to have the best tender loin sandwich in Iowa and they didn't disappoint! It was awesome. Service was fantastic, and our serve, Danielle, was the best and made you feel welcome...Most highly recommended.

This place is invitingly warm. The decorating is unique, colorful, and in good taste...even the flamingos, which is NOT what you would expect in the midwest!! The food!......fried food was never better, including in the South!! I have never had a more tender, most chicken sandwich! The breading was crisp without being "crunchy"! Our server, Danielle, was the perfect blend of hospitality, information, and excellent service. My husband has their tenderloin and was very pleased with it. Also shared some onion peels. Sooooooo delectable! Truly. So happy we stopped in!;
my family and I ate here last night for the first time everything was delicious. the service was wonderful. I didn't get the woman's name that serves us but she was great! loved the atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Elk Horn is a nice Saturday day trip from Des Moines. Tour the Danish windmill then stop at Larsen’s Pub for the tenderloin. This is a stop on Iowa’s “tenderloin trail” and is one of the best ones we have tried. Definitely worth the trip. Recommend driving there on Highway 44, much more scenic and minimal traffic.

No customer service, They have screwed up our order the last three times we’ve ordered from there we pointed it out to him the last time they told us that we ordered wrong or our phone must’ve cut out they have a we are right you are wrong attitude and don’t ask for the price when u order they won’t tell u and they only take cash that’s why hardly any of the locals eat there. Don’t know how they stay open only being open for four hours a day. Don’t waist ur time or money
