My crew was working in town looking for a spot to eat for lunch but everything was closed. We stopped in just to grab a pastry and the owners served us food they had made that wasn’t on the menu for free. Super hospitable people would definitely recommend.

Elk Horn is the largest Danish settlement in the United States, and, located a block north of the community's can't miss, legendary windmill, is this wonderful pastry shop that features Danish pastries that are sensational. Plenty of tables, Coca-Cola products.
I visited on a Saturday morning, and staffer Chris was such a nice guy, informing me of the shop and its content. Their #1 item is their Almond Kringle, with Dutch letters right behind. So many Kringle options to pick from, and Chris' raspberry selection was phenomenal! Lots of gifts and bundles. A great bench directly outside to enjoy your items! Lots of parking.

We didn’t purchase store front but at the Danish windmill in Elk horn. We tried the stroopwafel and the Kringle. It was so good and wonderful flavor. Will always recommend and hope to purchase in the future.
