Pork tenderloin was small and fries were hard. Back garage door open and flies were coming in. The only waiter was great but needed more help.

I stopped here on a Sunday afternoon. The place wasn't too busy with 3 ppl at the bar, one table inside and 2 tables outside. I walked in through the front door and out to the patio. I sat at the closest bench to the building. It took several minutes for someone to come to my table. I ordered a water and a carbliss. They were out of the daily special which was cheeseburgers. I said I came for the chicken. Was told that the broaster was down and no chicken. It took them pretty close to 15 minutes to come back to get my order. I ended up ordering the tenderloin with coleslaw. I wanted cottage cheese but was a 2 dollar upcharge as were the house made potato chips so g with the usual onion rings and such. I ordered with all the veggies and a side of mayo but no bun. The food came pretty quickly and seemed hot and fresh. 1st, the tenderloin was excellent, well cooked and great size. I was less impressed with the coleslaw. Though it had decent flavor, the cabbage was so largely chopped that it was kind of hard to manage with a fork. I did not get my side of mayo when my food came. Next time they came around, I got a side of ranch and ordered my side of mayo again. I got my ranch and mayo and I finished my meal. When I got the bill, I saw they had upcharged me almost a dollar for the ranch, which I kind of expected an upcharge but also got upcharged the same for the mayo. The 12 ounce carbliss was 7.50 while the tenderloin was 14. They didn't take anything off for not getting the bun. Overall, the food was good but with the inconsistent service, the up charges for almost everything and cost of drinks, I probably wouldn't frequent this place.

I’m always looking for a review that actually tells you something. Not just, food was good! Polite staff… you know what I mean…. So, here we go.We were greeted when we walked in the door! Wow! Friendly and very attentive staff. They have a good selection of beer on tap including IPA’s. Nice and cold in a chilled true pint. Bravo! We ordered the “All you can eat shrimp” and Tenderloin. The shrimp is butterflied and nicely breaded. Comes with fries and coleslaw. I try to stay away from fried food, but I was pleasantly surprised. Not greasy at all. The shrimp was perfect. Flavor, texture and presentation. They serve in tin pie plates, which I found as a nice change from the typical plastic baskets with a paper liner beneath. My husband ordered the tenderloin. In his opinion, the best he’s had anywhere (with the exception of my own hand breaded pork loin)… The service was exceptional. Skylar was prompt in seeing that our drinks were filled and the shrimp kept a coming. We left, comfortably full. And not to forget…Karaoke every other Friday with Mike! And he starts up at 7pm. We will definitely go back. Odie’s is easy to find and only about 10-15 minutes from Cedar Rapids.
Parking: There is parking right in front on both sides of the street. Pretty much like any small town bar and grill.
