I stopped here on a Sunday afternoon. The place wasn't too busy with 3 ppl at the bar, one table inside and 2 tables outside. I walked in through the front door and out to the patio. I sat at the closest bench to the building. It took several minutes for someone to come to my table. I ordered a water and a carbliss. They were out of the daily special which was cheeseburgers. I’m always looking for a review that actually tells you something. Not just, food was good! Polite staff… you know what I mean…. So, here we go.We were greeted when we walked in the door! Wow! Friendly and very attentive staff. They have a good selection of beer on tap including IPA’s. Nice and cold in a chilled true pint. Bravo! We ordered the “All you can eat shrimp” and Tenderloin. The shrimp is butterflied and nicely breaded. Comes with fries and coleslaw....
Four of us were going to be in Ely. We looked online for dinner options, and there were two in Ely. Casey's and Odie's. Being of sound mind off to Odie's we went. They have a complete menu. Entrees for everybody. Wide open seating area that was well lit and warm. Staff was engaging and pleasant. Old-time sidewalk menu board listing daily specials. It's hard to decide, so I had two entrees. WE FOUND A GEM ON THE SOUTHEASTERN SIDE OF CEDAR RAPIDS METRO AREA....
