Stayed in in this town while on vacation. This Cafe was AWESOME!!! Great food, fast service, clean, happy waitresses! We ate there more then once! Town's folks sit around talking about the weather and farming everyday we were told. It was special.
I enjoy exploring the variety of eateries across Iowa and in Emmetsburg that find is Kirby's Cafe.
I was enticed by rumors of a waffle of all waffles.
Came in on Sunday and they had a buffet going.

Oh, the waffle, yeah, had to not do 100% carnivore.

This is the most reasonably priced and good food in the area. The staff are very kind, the service is quick, and has a very good small town, inviting atmosphere. If you are ever in the area, Kirby’s has fantastic breakfast for an even better price. As someone who does not reside in the area, it is a must stop if you are here over night! Only recommendation would be to salt and pepper hash browns if you order them.
