Wife and I are new to iowa and happened upon this place. I cannot express the how great this experience is wonderful people, wonderful food with his own touch that makes it special. It gave me that Dave's killer bread kinda vibe.. he can go far with this!! Best of luck!!
I LOVE this place. It’s about two blocks from a little beach area on the edge of Five Islands Lake, where I waited for my pizza to be ready. The man who took my order and made my pizza was very friendly, and the pizza was absolutely delicious. I got the Meat pizza
Very hot in the summer with not a lot of seating, so it’s clearly setup for takeout but we decided to eat there anyway. The service was fine, but the pizza is great, better than any place I’ve been in Des Moines. When we went to leave, the guy offered us frozen watermelon pops to cool off. Will definitely be stopping back when I’m in Emmetsburg.
