The steak in the burrito tasted rancid. I immediately spit it out. I told the waitress and she said it was the marinade (which I don’t believe) and offered to bring something else. Against my better judgement I ordered pork tacos. When they came the cilantro on top was slimy and rotten. I didn’t even take a bite bc at this point I had no appetite. After reading some of the other reviews about this place I am praying the rest of my family doesn’t get food poisoning. 😕

1st time eating here. Very old building but they've decorated it ok. Clean with fast service. I had the shrimp cocktail soup. It was sooo good. big shrimp and great flavor. My spouse had Pollo Loco and it was very good also. We also had jalapeño poppers that were very good.

An excellent Mexican restaurant with friendly helpful staff. I can personally recommend the chicken fajitas - perfecto! And the prices are most reasonable too, a great deal for sure. Bon appetit 👍

Actually from Washington, I travel back to Forest City to visit family. Unfortunately we stopped here for a bite to eat. I could say the prices was okay is to be a small town. Nothing special 2 servings of nachos. The service in general wasn't the best could be considered rude at most, waited almost over 20 minutes for nachos shouldn't take that long. My mother actually got food poisoning a day later, she honestly said that it was probably the nachos and I didn't consider it. I ate my serving a day later and also got food poisoning. Meaning that this restaurant is very unhygienic. I was told before by old friends in the area that they have roaches recently most likely from the apartments upstairs. The owner is nowhere to be found for complaints and only speak Spanish. I speak a little Spanish myself and the family member that he had translator blatantly lied about what was said. I don't understand how this business is still open when now just reading the other comments and others have the same experience over the years was having severe food poisoning. Honestly I would not recommend this restaurant if you value your health, the food's not the best at jeopardize that. Do you have a better chance going to other restaurants here in town that you're less likely to get food poisoning and being blakely lied too about the quality.

Ay Jalisco has seen come changes over the last few years. I think it’s still a pretty consistent Mexican eatery here in Forest City. A margarita and a taco or burrito? How can you go wrong? Recently tried the Pamelo, a varietal tequila Sousa drink with grapefruit soda and a twist of lime. It’s spectacular! Bring on the chips. Bring on the salsa! Bring on that queso y’all want to use your fingers to lick the bowl! Am I right? I have also discovered the Tilapia Tacos. I know it’s maybe called something else but that’s basically what it is, and it is delish! Order a few extra limes!🍋🟩Also!!!! You can order take out and order a margarita to go!!

I've been working in this area for over two years for a project and I spent several months of 2022 in Forest City. I ate at many different restaurants in my time, including this one several times. I have only gotten moderate food poisoning twice in my life and this place was one of them. It was June 2022 and I had gotten a dish and was throwing up after that from 2am-7am. It was bad enough that I contacted the health department. You might get good food here. Or you might get poisoned. Your choice.

This was a fantastic Mexican restaurant. My husband and I were here picking up our Winnebago Ekko and decided to try this restaurant out. Great service and great food! We would highly recommend it.

Waited 20 minutes to get our drink order taken. An hour later food finally comes out. Everything is ice cold. Fajitas are ice cold, where does that happen? Not only that it’s half a plate for $15. Told the waitress and she walks off with it and says “I’ll take it off”. Terrible service. Been over 5 minutes since they brought out 2 plates and we’re still waiting on the 3rd. This place used to be good but has gone downhill significantly in the last year.
